Personal Protection 201: DEFENDING THE HOME!
This course is an 8-Hour LIVE Class That Focuses On The Use of Firearms In the Defense of Your Home. It Fulfills the Maryland State Police Requirement To Obtain a Maryland HQL Permit (required to own a firearm in Maryland) as well as providing a certificate for the NRA Basic Pistol Course, which may be used for concealed carry in many states (Florida, etc.) as well as a demonstration of basic handgun proficiency for entry into many gun clubs, pistol ranges and state certifications for possession of a firearm.
This class will be taught at a state-approved private facility near Bowie State University (BSU) which follows the state of Maryland, Prince George's County, as well as Federal Government (CDC) COVID-19 guidelines for live classroom instruction.
This facility is an indoor classroom (Face mask required) and an outdoor shooting range at the same location. Please dress appropriately. Masks are also required on the range.
Participants will receive the necessary instruction and certification to apply for a Maryland Handgun Qualification Licenses (HQL) required to possess a firearm in the State of Maryland.
Attention Maryland Residents:
Unless otherwise exempt, as of October 1, 2013, a Maryland resident must possess a valid Handgun Qualification License before he/she may purchase, rent, or receive a handgun. Details on exemptions may be found below. You do not need a Handgun Qualification License to own a gun you already have. The Handgun Qualification License is needed for purchasing, transferring, or renting a regulated firearm after October 1, 2013, in the state of Maryland.
Participants will also receive the NRA Basic Pistol Certification upon successful completion of the course.
The NRA Basic Pistol certification is one of the most universally recognized (and respected) certifications in the United States. Several states (Florida, etc.) recognize the NRA Basic Pistol certification for their concealed carry license (CCL) as do many gun clubs, gun ranges, and other firearm facilities for admission and entry.
Also note: In Maryland a person may not purchase, rent, or receive a handgun after October 1, 2013, unless they possess a valid Handgun Qualification License (HQL) issued by the Maryland State Police or qualify for exemption status.
If at any point, up until the day of class, if you need to cancel you will receive a 100% cheerful refund of your entire investment. If you need to cancel the day of class, or later, then you will be automatically enrolled in the next available class at a date and time that is mutually agreed upon.
